chilean artist iván navarro has created 'the armory fence', a neon-lit
sculpture that stands in place for new york's paul kasmin gallery at
this year's armory show in new york city. on show until sunday,
the installation forms an ornamental fence that challenges the typical
function of an art fair booth by preventing viewers from entering the
space.

constructed entirely from neon lights, the site specific installation draws
visitors towards a booth completely void of signage and advertisements.
82 linear feet encircle a large empty volume, contrasting the art-lined
spaces of the surrounding vendors.
