we just received these illustrations by contemporary illustrator, aleXsandro palombo.
entitled 'bambi is dead', the drawings are the latest in a series of recent social attacks against
fashion brand fendi's use of fur.
in a collection of satirical images, disney's beloved bambi character is seen donning the iconic fendi motif
and being hunted by a gun-trotting karl lagerfeld. portrayals of a fairy-tale-esque existence are altered by the
villainous and sometimes bloody scenes which reference both 'the day before' and 'the day after' the slaughter.
executed in a realism surrealism style, the series questions what luxury is, and states in a way, the extreme
measures for which people are willing to obtain it.

There is nothing wrong with art forming part of a social commentry... Especially when it seeks to inform about important subjects.
Really, do we need to use real fur in this day and age?
I think this is great.
But this was very shoddily executed. Agreed, a child could have made this. Looking at these images does not make me angry at Fendi or feel bad for bambi; they evoke no emotional response, except mild discomfort with the poor craftsmanship.
I don't even understand why he chose bambi. Does Fendi use a lot of deerskin products?
