‘nor autonom’ by nicolas olivier richard all images by mathias sterner

designboom has received images of stockhom-sweden based photographer mathias sterner‘s exploration of the handmade wire masks from nicolas olivier richard’s swedish fashion house, nor autonom‘s inaugural collection. each piece has been captured in an especially darkened space– the bright bent metal has been curved to cover the face of the models, fashioned in this way to evoke the distinct brand of this new men’s clothing brand. as the garments have a strong aesthetic, taking their form from ancient mythology and modernist designs, sterner captured the strength of the apparel line with wire-bent masks seeming to rise from the collection of images.
