a lebanese team of artists/designers, known as dihzahyners color the streets of beirut through initiatives such as ‘paint up!’. the latest project gathered a community of artists and enthusiasts to color steps around the city – one piece completed by a dozen designers covered 73 steps and took 7 hours – resulting in a burst of polychromatic imagery brightening the urban landscape. the public art project was located in the district of mar mikhael, with the earlier pieces transforming staircases into colorful piano keys, or blanketed in an explosion of vibrant geometric shapes and patterns.
