berlin's kicken gallery will begin a new exhibition of works by ryuji miyamoto and j. mayer h. architects on
may 2nd. the gallery was recently transformed by j. mayer h. architects with the addition of a movable two-part
element, 'positive.negative', which enables the exhibition space to be modified. in addition to the new space,
the architecture firm will display a variety of sketches, renderings and video from the 'positive.negative' project
and many others. the work of japanese photographer ryuji miyamoto will also be on show. 'pinhole' is a series of
large format crosses rendered in lush blue tones. the photos are taken using a small hut which he transformed
into a camera obscura by covering all the interior walls in photo paper. he lies inside the box while the paper is
exposed. the show will run until june 7th.
