clock by hans tan

hans tan
created the idea of a wall clock using a green LED bulletin board to display the current time
with a lengthy textual description.
by the time you’re done reading the entire message, the time probably will have changed.

Sorry, but this idea has Art-Lebedev done a long time ago and much nicer. Look for "Verbarius"!

nope
its not that i dont have the time.. its not that i dont want to exhert the effort.. just not doing it for me.. this like this make people who are on the fence about the 'design world' question what we do and the point of it all.. make people lives easier.. more enjoyable.. not just make them ask.. whats the point.... dig deeper

Hans Tan is actually criticizing the idea of time as an object whereas Art Lebedev is just designing one more new clock with just a funny twist. You should have a look at his 'Portrait of a lamp' and 'Vitrine of a vase' on his website , and learn from it.
