artist alison jackson is best known for her unique portraits of celebrities. however, jackson has actually never
photographed the people who appear to be in her photos. this is because jackson uses look-alikes to pose in
embarrassing or scandalous paparazzi style photos. from the pete doherty and angelina jolie to the queen and
princess diana, no one is safe. her work is on show in ‘starstruck’ an exhibition of art and the cult of celebrity at
the new art gallery walsall until june 15th. she also has published two books of her work, ‘private’ and ‘confidential’.
