‘urgently!’ is what its artist aristarkh chernyshev calls an info sculpture. the artwork
explores the modern phenomena of information overload. it grabs real-time news
feeds straight form the internet and streams them across an led lightboard.
the snake-like display winds its away around and into the trashcan, which is also
part of the display. the pieces is meant to metaporically represent ‘an endless flow
of information that is updated every second and gets obsolete and trashed
immediately after that.’ the piece is currently on show at the national art museum
of china.
