'teenage stories' by julia fullerton-batten

‘floating in harbour’

in her ‘teenage stories’ series, photographer julia fullerton-batten creates surreal images of giant women
in strange landscapes. you might be quick to assume these are made using some advanced photoshop
work, but they are actually made using scale model sets and real models. made in 2005, the series was
awarded with the applied arts photography award and second place in the prix de la photographie paris
(px3). fullerton-batten lives and works in london and is currently showing pieces from ‘teenage stories’
in the group show ‘beyond presentation’ at jenkins johnson gallery in new york.
