japanese monster maps

designboom published an article on ‘anatomical maps’ this past august. while the article looked at many
different types of anatomical maps, we didn’t include the fictional maps found in japanese comic books.
luckily we just stumbled across a gallery of ‘kaiju eiga’ which shows us the imagined insides of some
very well-known monsters and other strange creatures. while these maps are based on the ideas
explored in human anatomy, the unique monster parts are what make them so fun.
