amsterdam based artist melanie bonajo has stated that she uses photography as a means for recording
her thoughts. her pictures clearly exemplify this attitude. she works by setting up surreal scenes which
she then photographs. the subject matter of her works is continually evolving as well. bonajo’s work is
filled with both humour and melancholy, but always aims to provoke the viewer.
