li jikai

currently, a solo exhibition of the work of chinese artist li jikai is being shown at arario gallery. the show includes
twenty-five of the contemporary artist's paintings. li's art is a personal narrative about himself and his existence.
often representing himself as a solitary character in his paintings, he poses a lot of universal questions through
his pieces, exploring his sub-conscious and who he is as an individual

born in chengdu, sichuan province china, li jikai graduated from the sichuan fine arts institue (master's degree),
majoring in painting. he currently lives in wuhan and teaches at the hubel academy of fine art in the
animation department.
