the young emerging cuban artist duvier del dago creates delicate holograms of thread tied three dimensionally.
duvier's pieces are woven in situ. it takes him about 4 days to make one of these installations.
here are a few images from the building up.

a process of experimentation with drawing has led him to transcend the bi-dimensional nature of paper,
bring it out, and endow it with new dimensions in space. thread replaces pencil to draw shapes in the air.
they are drawings of material objects that people wish to have.

'plastic girl (the unattainable woman)', 2007

born in 1976 in zuleta, in the cuban province of villa clara, duvier del dago won local art prices long before
he attended the art school in the cuban city trinidad (after the ISA instituto superior del arte in havana).
his installations usually start with small drawings on semi transparent nylon,
then, without the use of any computer or 3 D program, he translates them to spatial objects.
he creates a spatial 'connect the dots' system, using cotton thread and a series of hooks on wooden panels.
del dago has partcipated in two havana biennial exhibitions (in 2000 and in 2006).
