opening this thursday at the young gallery, brussels will be 'toygiants' an exhibition
featuring the work of german duo daniel and geo fuchs. the large size photo series
depicts american comic heroes of the 1960's, japanese manga icons, actors such as
quentin tarantino and bruce willis, artists such as andy warhol and world leaders such
as george w bush and saddam hussein all of which are displayed as toys. the exhibition
explores the power of self promotion through the media by political figures and the world
of entertainment and the iconic effect they have.
