tennessee based ceramic artist jason briggs creates very odd looking works which definitely don’t fit the
mould of traditional ceramics. his works are biomorphic looking forms which appear to real and surreal at
the same time. the pieces are white skin toned and covered in hair. part of his works appear to be human
skin while other portions are distinctly man-made forms like upholstery. no matter what perspective you
take, the works are tactile and invite touching if only out of curiosity.
