stephanie syjuco is a filipino artist who now lives and works in san francisco. you may recall her ‘counterfeit crochet’ and ‘contemporary stonehenge’ projects, which we featured in the past. for her most recent exhibition at the contemporary arts museum in houston, texas syjuco created ‘towards a new theory of color reading’, a set of newspapers that have blocks of color instead of news.
