motion blur - american craft

the gustavsbergs konsthall outside of stockholm has assembled a exhibition of contemporary american
crafts called ‘motion blur – american craft’. the show is currently running at the gallery featuring jim drain,
sabrina gschwandtner, elana herzog, ian hundley, beth lipman, nava lubelski and beverly semmes.
the show aims to survey the american craft scene from a scandinavian perspective. works on show run
the gamut from sculpture and pictorial art to pure crafts and installations. however the show is united by
the commonality of handcraft and the blurring of art and crafts. the show was produced in collaboration
with exhibiting artist sabrina gschwandter. ‘motion blur - american craft’ is also being accompanied by
a show catalogue featuring the work on show’.
