new york’s deitch projects is currently presenting an exhibit of new paintings and sculptures by artist
ryan mcginness. in addition to showing mcginness’ new work, the show is also an experiential installation
bringing visitors inside mcginness’ world. the exhibit coincides with the release of a new book of the same
title published by rizzoli. mcginness is known for mixing several styles on contemporary paintings in his
unique body of work. his compositions reference the work of jackson pollock, while his process and
imagery draws on pop artists like andy warhol. this show showcases vividly coloured paintings, acrylic
sculptures and a collection of neon canvases displayed under black lights.
