if you had thought we captured every weird and wonderful example of wallpaper in our wallpaper article,
you were wrong. these latest two examples show that almost anything can be turned into a wallpaper
pattern, including newspaper headlines and spam email.

the first example is by designer a. j. bocchino who created 'the new york times headlines wallpaper' design
in 2006. the pattern features headlines from the paper dating back to 1990, each colour coded according to
its subject matter.





the next example is called 'spamghetto' by the italian design studio todo. using the content from
unsolicited spam email, the group created a wallpaper that appears like a floral pattern from afar.
up close it is clear that each piece is made from hundreds of words taken from ads offering
‘porn material, pirate software, viagra, illegal financial services and advice on women seduction’.
the paper is made from a generative software program that customizes each order to size.
