last week saw the opening of french artist zevs first solo show at art statements gallery,
hong kong. prior to opening night the parisian graffiti artist - known for 'liquidating'
famous logos by pouring paint over them was arrested after a chanel logo received the
same treatment on the facade of the armani store in central hong kong. the damage
is expected to cost 6.7 million HK read more.

his 'liquidated logo' series featured in the exhibition are hand painted versions of
the world's biggest brands, with paint dripping.

the show will run until september 30, 2009.

An other French rebel...but everybody now that making a graphiti in HK is dangerous. Have you ever seen a graphiti in HK? Hey man you're not in Paris you can't do what you want. Nevertheless it's interesting to see that the HK gov' prefer to see the art in gallery more than in the street..., but if Chanel wants to stick a poster at the same place do you think it will be prohibited? No off course if they pay for that. Conclusion: art in gallery, publicity in the street, and money in HK gov' pocket.
