israeli designer gad charny‘s ‘mutants’ exhibition deals with issues of identity and the hidden potential of transformation surround the mankind and the society. cheap plastic animal and dinosaur figures were used as materials. they were modified in forms and transformed into nameless mutants, unknown hybrids. a critical eye is on the culture of intervention and change enforced by humans, as well as the transformation of the physical body by surgeries, implants and genetic modifications. the exhibition will run until 17 august, 09 at the artists house gallery, tel aviv, israel.
