korean artist jeonghwa choi created 'sing sing singing room' at the gwangju design biennale 09.
installed in the square of the gwangju biennale center, 'sing sing singing room' consists of two
buildings of no-rae-bangs (karaoke rooms) and parasoles around them.

the combination of festivals, markets and squares are all part of the exhibition, in which
the artist depicts stories of joy and diversity where each becomes a song and dance.
the word 'sing sing' means 'fresh' in korean. 'sing sing singing room' is open to anyone
who is willing to sing and visit the design biennale.

designboom is attending the gwangju design biennale where we will continue to cover
the event, which will be on view until november 4, 2009.

He's a great artist, he works very hard. Through his works, we can read many significations. For exemple the social context of the objects... It can be fun at the same time the lightness of materiel is felt.
