adam voorhes is a photographer based in austin, texas who has produced a series of exploded diagrams
using real photography. the series showcases voorhes’ technical skills at reproducing this classic textbook
image. the series shows a telephone, a handgun, an etch-a-sketch and a frog, each taken apart and frozen
in space. the photographs display the internal parts of these objects (and creatures) that we rarely see
or maybe didn’t even know existed. by taking apart these iconic objects, we see can better understand
them and how they are made.
