tate britain is currently hosting a retrospective on carribean artist chris ofili in london.
the exhibition highlights the chronological work from the last 20 years with some of
ofili's trademark paintings such as 'no woman, no cry' and 'adroddizia'. showcasing his
evolution as an artist, the show also includes some of his recent work which
seem to take a hugely different approach to his previous style. staple marks such as
adornments, patterns, dung attachments and props as seen in his earlier paintings,
are exchanged for a much more subdued painting style.
the restrospective is currently on display at tate britain in london until may 16, 2010.
