frank lloyd wright museum on second life

fallingwater

last week, the frank lloyd wright (FLW) museum opened on second life, the 3D virtual world community.
the museum celebrates the work of america's infamous architect. the online space houses
a number of galleries which tell wright's life story through a display of his work and site plans.
on the roof of the museum there is an arrangement of photographs of wright's buildings presented
in chronological order. behind the museum, there are four wright buildings on display:
fallingwater, jacobs house I, jacobs house II and robie house. there is also a museum store where
FLW souvenirs can be purchased.

i think this is a cool concept sometimes plans and interior images just aren't enough... you want more. BUT SERIOUSLY it's FRANK LLOYD WRIGHT!!! He's rolling in his grave knowing that there is better renderers out there and this is what they are using for this project! It's a start though.

Well, Second Life is a rather new technology and has very few high-quality rendering capabilities. After all, it depends on the internet to be downloaded at a faster rate. It's not like a Wii videogame that does not transmit data from servers across the world.

have a look at this model of fallingwater - it uses the computer game called garrysmod. You can explore and interact with the model completely. it was made a couple of years ago.
