glass and swimming pools never a good idea.

is there a 14 day cooling off period for the winners or shortlisted, if perchance the design already exits elsewhere? This is a global competition and great minds to think alike? how do you contact dboom if you spot something already out there?

i think it's banal idea, nothing to do with the aperitivo target,,
Luis   09.25.09
I love it!

This idea is fantastic.. perhaps it should be a bit bigger to stabalise it from waves... but other than that... I wish I had one.
catherine   09.25.09
^^ I wish I had a pool!
bakachan   09.25.09
i find the idea cool

elevation and section are switched.
protect from the sun: i think that sun heat up the upper side of glass and bottle come hot like without "parasole".
or simply "parasole" is small object: its shadow cover the bottle only at 12.00 (maybe)
andrea   09.26.09
err, is the world really going in a poolside floating beer bottle direction?
strapon   09.26.09
Everything is really BAD: from the pictures to the design itself... Not even the concept is new/innovative.
If the goal is to transform your pool into this:
pool beer
then it's OK.

(don't mean to be rude but) are the 100 shortlisted entries selected by arriving order?
randomly, perhaps?
in all the 3108 rejected proposals, there wasn't ONE better than this?
strange...

can see these pieces of plastic floating off into the sea or down streams to add to the world's pollution problems
laurel 26.9.09   09.27.09
A really bad idea. Probably comes from a creative space, but to promote putting something in the sea and then (probably) discarding it when it is empty and leaving it to nature. STUPID. Designers have to look beyond themselves ... 'maybe I could design a plastic ring to choke some fish which would last for a few decades and put it in the sea' ... no problem, they have already done it.
peter mclisky   09.27.09
I like the retro style design, it kinda reminds me of the 70's playboy era. I reckon its well shown.
Leanne O   09.28.09
Really nice idea!! Very goos design and very handsome boy!!!
Aguirin   09.28.09
re: peter mclisky & laurel...

"this product protects a bottle of peroni from the sun while enjoying an aperitif in the POOL,
both inside and outside of the water." and put far away the drops of the beer of your clothes...

before start to say those things I think you should have read the project ... nobody has talked about the beach in this product! I like criticism because they make me see other points of view and I don,t like the people like you willing to say even if no information ... if you say something about a product someone should inform you before because we are not a collective and we don,t designed things to damage the planet... we are quite aware with protecting the planet and try to create products that not Damage it... probably all the people is most careful with the world than you... think about that!!
