lola

lola is a humanoid robot underdevelopment by the technical university of munich and the institute of
technology autonomous systems. what separates this bot from the pack is its ability to smoothly avoid
even the tiniest obstacles in its way. the robot stands 180 cm tall and weighs 60kg. 2 video cameras
mounted on its head are used to navigate, while lola’s body is composed of 25 joints. lola walks
autonomously using real-time image recognition that identifies and avoid objects in her path. while the
robot walks around slowly, the developers hope to increase her speed and reactions to average human pace.
