asus has just released two new mobile devices at the computex technology show in taipei, the eee pad
and the eee tablet. the eee tablet is a grayscale e-reader and digital notebook that comes complete with
a stylus. the screen boasts 64 levels of gray, a resolution of 1024x768 and screen sensitivity of 2450 dpi.
the device displays e-books and captures input through writing directly on the screen, storing drawings
and handwritten notes. the eee pad on the other hand is a new tablet computer similar to apple’s ipad.
this more robust device comes with 10 or 12-inch touch sensitive displays. the computer can even dock
with a keyboard to provide easier input and runs on windows 7.

Could this tablet be the iPad killer we've been waiting for? I hope so.
But I'd like to see more development on their dual-screen eeeReader; or a step up from this tablet to a dual-screen (7" each?) tablet.
