dotje drawing robot

dotje is an interactive drawing robot made from lego designed by nils voelker and christien meindertsma.
the device explores ‘human perception and the way we look at things’ by tracking a person’s eyes as they
look at a picture and drawing the object based on the person’s gaze. dotje consists of a robot suspended
from the ceiling built using lego parts. the robot makes a dot on a large stack of paper for every point the
person has been looking at. the resulting image is a replica of the original through the lens of the viewer.
