microsoft arch mouse

in the last couple of days images of the long talked about 'microsoft arch mouse' have appeared online.
the touch scroll design is reported as having two modes: curved for when it's in use and flat for easy packing.
it has a small battery indicator up top and a 2.4GHz nano transceiver.

see engadget for more info and images.

i wander if MS r&d dpt talks 2 design dpt?

"...flat for easy packing."
thank u MS, i couldn't stand my special huge-out-of-date-mouse-backpack anymore.

Make a bluetooth version and this will probably be of more interest (for me).
I like the ability to change the shape so that it will fit your hand almost regardless of size.

I don't quite understand the two scroll mode comment. Anyone know something more and care to elaborate.

@buzzoff
Not everybody likes tiny mice that cramp your hand after extended use.

Flat-packing is an excellent way to ship more product with the same amount of energy. Last time I bought a mouse, the package was about 4-6 times bigger than the product itself.
The design also looks good, to my eye.

@ w.n., The two mode comment:
1. arched mode when in use
2. flat mode when not in use

I think it looks quite nice and am assuming that it is bluetooth, the USB is just for charging I reckon.
