fox in the box is an interactive music interface designed by stephan thiel with sebastian an, steffen fiedler and jonas loh.
the project consists of a modular midi controller that is designed for collaborative live performances. small pieces of
music are represented by small boxes that each control one part of a song. changing the orientation of these blocks
affects the music, stopping and starting with a simple tilt. the project also includes different sound modifiers which
can be applied on top of the boxes when in the on position. these sensors work through bending, proximity and
pressure, altering the sound. the project was built using arduino hardware boards with bluetooth functionality and
custom java software controlling ableton‘s live software over midi. make sure to watch the video to see the boxes
