Creepy!
Withacapital C!   11.03.10
why not just the hot japanese dancers?
davi   11.03.10
@davi

Because this robo dancer makes a potential wife. One that cooks and does laundry and is happy doing it. One that doesn't cry or complain. One that obeys your every command and desires. One that makes the perfect companion for the lonely Japanese men.
rjayn   11.03.10
FAIL!!! with the legs. The most observable, elegant, and alluring part of any female dancer.
Jojo   11.03.10
oh Rjayn, as a happily married man, I have to say you have a lot to learn...or you're missing out on something in life...we (men) need a bit of good, bad and the ugly...otherwise life would be terribly boring!

The Japs certainly know how to make pop music...bleechch!
Battered husband   11.04.10
agree with Davi 200%...but give the Japs another few years....
Dr. Design   11.04.10
I do not understand that we strive to recreate human life with robots, when we do not even learned to live our own lives.
engineering, technology and all this investment should be trying to fix a number of unresolved probmes occurring in the world.
borromini   11.04.10
Are we really saying "Japs" on designboom...kinda racist
+the robot's hands are freaky deaky large.
yeeha   11.04.10
Yeeha, if you think "Japs" is racist, is "Brits", "Frogs" and "Amis" also racist?

I think there are a lot more racist things in the world than this.

robotic action plant

design | 04.16.12

reading the electrical pulses sent within the plant's cells, the system offers a mimosa pudica some of the reactive capacities that humans have, helping it to 'run away' from stimuli when provoked.
