nissan iv concept

the nissan iv is an ultra lightweight car designed for the 2010 la auto show’s 1000 pound car design challenge.
designed for a futuristic 2035 the iv is an electric vehicle that is made using ‘organic synthetics’, which consist of
auto parts grown and cultivated like crops. this new manufacturing process is modeled after nature and would
theoretically be a 100% sustainable, carbon-neutral process. the car seats four  and features a photo-voltaic rooftop
and regenerative capacitor technology that recoups 60% of kinetic energy spent.

the photo-voltaic rooftop is the future!
grown parts is fantasy, isn't it utopia?
looks cool, though.

Botanic body molding? Bring on the Miracle Gro.

Why do the concepts for the 1000-lb car challenge all look like a 10-year-old boy's fantasy racer?

Why not a 1000-lb station wagon (estate)?
