canon 4k camera



to showcase their newly developed 4k resolution technology canon designed a new multi-purpose
video and photo camera. the new camera is lightweight and compact with an unusual case design.
the lens is center mounted with a grip on the right side, a large viewfinder and a pop-up digital
display. the design combines video camera and still photo camera archetypes into a unified body.
the camera supports both video and still image capture using a large and fast CMOS sensor that
can shoot video at frame rates in excess of 60 frames per second. the concept was designed to
showcase this new technology and won’t be released commercially, but canon should soon be
integrating their 4k technology into cameras in the near future.

I suppose all the buttons have been replaced by a single touchscreen ? And maybe the screen would show a preview of the picture with the presets... let's dream ^^

unless it has a optical non electronic viewfinder its useless in my opinion. judging by the photos here its possible that it doesn't. again as mentioned in their press kit, this camera wont make it to the market place, probably, its just a a shell to promote their inside technology. BUT if they (Canon) are listening, make something that can shoot video while ramping the FPS on the fly from 12fps to 128fps with the ability to compensate the exposure while doing so. that would be freaking amazing. They would hit it out of the park again!
