talking tree



the talking tree is a project by the belgian magazine eos, which aims to give a digital voice to a single tree. the project
features a fine dust meter, ozone meter, light meter, weather station, webcam and microphone attached to a single tree
located on the outskirts of brussels. the 100 year old tree is continually monitored across these dimensions and feeds
the information to digital tools like youtube, flickr, facebook, twitter and soundcloud. those interested can visit the
trees website and find out the current climate, how much pollution is in the air and a ton of other interesting pieces
of data.
