occipital just launched version 3.0 of their '360 panorama' app for iPhone and iPod.

'360 panorama' lets iPhone users take wide-angle and panoramic photographs
by simply panning their phones to capture the view.
a complete 360° panorama can be taken in under 20 seconds, and immediately uploaded or shared.

now, gyroscope-enabled viewing lets users experience panoramic images
relative to their own 3D space, so that panning or revolving the phone controls the view.
