designed for entertainment, acer's new 'aspire ethos 8951G' and '5951G' ' laptop models feature a removable touchpad
that doubles as a remote control for the device, alongside powerful audio and video-ready hardware.

the detachable touchpad, capable of controlling multimedia playback on the device from a distance,
features a sensor enabling it to be used either horizontally or vertically. the 'aspire ethos' also features acer's
'clear.fi' media sharing platform, enabling digital media stored on any 'clear.fi'-ready device on the home network
to be shared and accessed from any other.

the '8951G' model of the 'aspire ethos' boasts five built-in dolby speakers and an acer subwoofer pair
for surround-like sound. an 18.4-inch screen can play images in full HD , 1920 x 1080-pixels. the '5951G' version
includes two built-in stereo speakers  and an acer bass booster, with a 15.6-inch HD 1366 x 786 display.

the frameless laptop utilizes intel's 'turbo boost technology 2.0' on top of intel core processors, alongside a nvidia geforce T500
graphics processor. integrated powersmart long-life battery lasts over three times as long as conventional notebook batteries.
a USB 3.0 port, multi-in-1 card reader, webcam, and built-in microphone round out the hardware offerings of the device,
while an 'instant on arcade' key permits fast booting for movie, music, and photo playback. mobile devices may be charged
via USB even when the laptop itself is turned off.

the acer 'aspire ethos 8951G' and '5951G' are expected to be available later this month.

ive always thought why doesnt the smart phone integrate with the laptop.

Example your iphone would slide into your Mac laptop and become the trackpad with an additional screen that could show short cuts for your current app.

Motorola had a good opportunity with the atrix but they went and put the phone in the worst possible location.
