Looks cool and sleek. It probably has gorilla glass
cool guy   10.26.11
Cool, is it the new ipod?
Ridiculous.
Ibbale   10.26.11
I don't get the point of just posting the press release from Nokia.
A few interesting informations for designers such as the fact that the body is made of machined polycarbonate would be welcome.

haha way to go again! everybody needs to copy apple... nokia, lg, samsung, blackberry are pathetic all they want is copy, no innovations what so ever...LAME
nc   10.26.11
This is so Apple.
Vin   10.26.11
for God sake... now everything that people design is a copy from apple? just because it's clean, doesn´t mean that is a copy..
Ch   10.26.11
beautiful than apple
jason   10.26.11
If you design something, but in the end of your creative process you discover that what you have thinked already exist (is called benchmark), you must turn back. In this case it is TOO MUCH similar to the ipod.
I apologize for the english :)

I don't see the design reference Apple.
- Volume controls on the side: where else would you put them?
- Audio out at the top: where else would you put it?
- Tapered corners: that's ionic to Nokia
- Curved glass screen: no Apple device has this
- Centred camera: Apple devices have it in the corner
- One-piece polycarbonate enclosure: doesn't sound like Apple to me
- Coloured body: so you're telling me that since iPods have coloured bodies, no other company can make coloured-body devices?

You should know that I'm not hatin' Apple - I personally roll with an iPhone. I'm just very disgusted with all these comments saying that Nokia has copied Apple. Be smart about your analysis people!
Ricardo   10.27.11
I completely agree with Ricardo... device design has limitations within the scope of the device. Ergonomics demand the device be a certain shape. Nokia has done a great job designing a device that is appealing. It just doesn't seem like the "copy" of apple that everyone is saying it is. I think there is a lot of bias towards Apple. Good job to Nokia... finally! Now, bring back Meego and create an Android version and you will win the world.

I thought this was a student project when I saw the thumbnail, the renderings are so average!

I agree with Richardo and Capt. America - Smart phone/tablet function leaves little room for innovative design.

Apple filing various lawsuits against other companies doesn't seem like much more than childish attempts to intimidate the rest of the market...
