breathable caffeine: aeroshot from le whif

'aeroshot' aerosol caffeine inhaler

invented by harvard university professor david edwards of artscience labs and in production
via the lab store (creators of le whif breathable chocolates and vitamins), 'aeroshot pure energy'
is an aerosol-based, calorie-free caffeine inhaler.

each 'aeroshot' contains 100 mg of caffeine, the same amount that is in a large cup of coffee. to use the device,
one pulls on the lower, yellow-green section to extend it and inhales through the slit on the other end.
pushing the sections back together closes the device, so that users can determine how much caffeine
to intake at any given time (each 'aeroshot' offers six to eight 'puffs' in all, for the total of 100mg).
liquid-free, the device bypasses TSA regulations for flight travel.

'aeroshot' is available beginning in boston and new york, USA, in early 2012, for the expected price
of approximately 2.50 USD each.

what's the point? no calories?
wow i'm loosing faith in mankind a bit more everyday.

(do they plan to make it work with other "...ine" substances?)

I've never heard that caffeine could be taken by inhalation, this is really silly, there's already caffeine pills that are sold and that seems way more efficient then another plastic gadget.

Really?

So stupid and typical. americans missing the point entirely. part of the reason coffee is such a staple is due to the actual experience of dtinking a coffee. the smell, taste, warmth etc. this product is the equivalent of someone watching a movie in fast fast forward. sure youll see all the content but you wont enjoy it

It saddens me to read that the only comments are people that refuse to believe that anything operating at the fringes of what is considered normal conventions are failures. Why not suspend disbelief for one moment, and realize that this project is representative of creative thinking, that looks to solve existing issues in new ways. What you fail to understand, is that it is people like this, who are going to take us into the future, through innovation and creativity, not those of you who are willing to settle for the mediocrity that surrounds us everyday.

get more energy quicker than it takes to drink a whole cup of coffee? I like it!
