chicago based studio minimal has recently finished their latest project, ‘taktik’. the iPhone case is an attempt to design a robust enclosure that considers the essential details that most often go overlooked. a shockproof suspension system enclosed between two anodized aluminium bezels prevent water from seeping into the case with its compression seal liners. the option of including a gorilla glass lens further protects the screen without compromising performance.

the device’s headphone jack cover is composed of aircraft grade anodized aluminum in a snap-up design. the case also offers rapid access to the silencing mode on the phone with a dedicated button.

in addition, a modular design strategy offers the capacity for future production lines to customize the device’s colour and material.

minimal is currently seeking funding for ‘taktik’ through kickstarter with an expected production date of mid-august.
