his confrontational imagery deals with issues of sexuality, advertising, drugs and
cultural normalities. many of his series rely on a specific context. for instance his
series ‘drugs’ is a collection of portraits in which the subject is under the influence
of drugs. others include ‘hypnosis’ and ‘scream’, depicting people expressing
emotions under hypnosis and people screaming, respectively. others depict the
artist himself in a particular context. ‘exes’ shows sahihi pictured with his
ex-girlfriends and their families, while ‘kiss’ features a series of strangers
kissing sahihi.
