reader follows the similarly designed kindle 2 launched earlier this year. the kindle dx boasts a larger
9.7 inch screen, making it easier to read large-scale publications like newspapers and magazines. the dx is
also perfectly suited to use as a textbook reader, making it ideal for students hauling giant textbooks in the
backpacks. at the press conference, amazon’s ceo jeff bezos announces deals with 3 major textbook
publishers and test runs in 5 US universities. the dx also features an auto-rotating screen to allow horizontal
reading and a larger 3.3 GB hard drive to fit around 3,500 books.
