kobian: emotional robot



the japanese company tmsuk has created a innovative humanoid robot that communicates emotions using
it whole body. the robot named kobian, not only uses it face to display emotions, but also its entire body.
the robot is latest iteration in tmsuk’s previous robots developed at the takanishi laboratory. kobian can
run through a range of emotions that is creators feel are a key step in creating a stronger interaction between
robots and humans. while the robot is very mechanical in its appearance, the combination of facial and
body gestures does provide a richer artificial emotion experience.
