DYA cell phone slides diagonally


the diagonal sliding phone

the 'DYA cellphone' designed by aran mun is a concept phone with a diagonal slider handset.
the rounded bubble-buttons are arranged, not like in typical cellphone format, to fit the
triangular-shaped keypad surface. starting with one at the top and numbers following below reading
left to right. the back of the phone is coated with elastic pain to give it a softer touch as well
as to prevent damage if the phone is dropped.

@ hober: That's hillarioius. The single distinctive feature of the phone hasn't even been thought through. Some more shiny renderings without enough consideration of the actual object. Thing is, this is probably one of the more realistic phone concepts on the source site. :cringe:

I think that the idea of a cell phone sliding
diagonally is kind of weird, because it occupies more space. Furthermore, I think the phone would have weeker parts, where it can break.
Althought the idea of creating a new concept is always refreshing, its clear this is only the beggining of something or a personal design project.

There is no purpose for sliding, the form is nice, but you are trying to give a technical explanation to your concept. which is not suitable for this mobile
