norihiko inoue: vertu void mobile phone

the vertu void concept by norihiko inoue sees the mobile phone stripped down to an almost entirely hollow criss-cross shell.

'thanks to the advances in technology mobile phones are getting smaller and thinner each year, however phones have to be a certain size for us to hold them and look at the screen properly. in my concept most of the electronic components are incorporated into the phone's outer shell, but the size of the vertu phone remains the same size as it is now with empty space inside.' NI

the design was created in response to the brief 'design a vertu concept product for 2015'.

Nice, but I think it would be better to fill the inside with a transparent material instead of empty space.
Imagine your keys or some other pocket items being stuck inside the phone.

Almost perfect... Should be designed as a slider phone with the 'ribbons' of buttons covering the screen until needed.
