to demonstrate their long lasting evolta batteries, panasonic drove the small evoia robot for 24 hours at the
lemans racetrack. the small robot rode a tricycle powered by two small AA evolta batteries. the robot traveled
for 24 hours covering a record setting distance of 23.726 km. the guinness world record was set on august 6.
this is the second record for the evolta battery, which previously was given the honour of 'longest lasting
AA alkaline battery'. the robot pedaled its tricycle following an infrared beam projected by the lead car for
5.6 laps. the robot was designed by tomotaka takahashi.
