ROPID

the ROPID designed by tomotaka takahashi is the a jumping and running robot by the japanese company
robo garage. the new bot is quite small at 38 cm tall, but packs a full range of movements and special
actions that can be triggered with voice commands. the most unique actions that separate the ROPID from
other humanoids is its ability to jump in the air, run and skip. the bot easily balances itself performing these
more advance maneuvers even at fast speeds. as with many of takahashi designs the ROPID also has a very
animated personality. the large eyes and moving mouth define its facial features, while its standing posture
looks as if the robot is puffing out its chest.
