google recently debuted chrome OS, their first operating system based linux. the new software is based
on the premise that most people really use their computer for the internet and not much else. the system is
completely web-based and runs off google’s chrome browser. applications are all run through the browser
and can be accessed through the application panel. data is also stored in the cloud while some of the operating system is stored locally to keep things running very fast. this would allow users to work from
any computer with all their files by simply logging in. the system will launch soon and time will tell if users
will adopt this new format of computer use.
