e-nuvo humanoid

researchers at the nippon institute of technology have teamed up with a slew of design and robotics
companies to develop an educational humanoid robot they call e-nuvo. the design is a child-size bot
that is based off a previous robot design from 2004 called the walk. the nuvo is a larger version of walk,
allowing it to interact with students in more meaningful ways. the design intends to teach students
bipedal robot technology and its connection to math and physics. the design s 126cm tall and only
weighs 15 kg. it is battery powered and can stand and move its arms and legs. the robot has a ton of
internal technology that allow it to communicate with users and walk around automatically or through
remote control. it could be used as a teacher’s assistant and comes in handy for presentations since it
has a built-in projector.

from buttons and circuits to bowties and tattoos, the website lets users customize their own miniature robot figurines, designable via an intuitive web interface and then 3D-printed and shipped to their destination.
bicycle-riding robot
the robot rides a miniature fixed gear bike in exactly the same manner as a human: cycling on the pedals, maintaining its own balance via steering, and braking by dragging his feet along the ground.
