boxee box

we first told you about the boxee box around this time last year, and the final design by d-link is now
ready for launch. boxee is a social software platform allowing users to watch online video content and
listen to music from the internet on their television. the design translates the company's digital presence
into a physical product by using a literal box and angling it, so it appears to be sinking into the surface
it is resting on. using the box is quite simple, it plugs into your tv and synchs with your computer and
the boxee online service. it also comes with a remote that has a simplified navigation side and a full
qwerty keyboard on the other side. while the design was unveiled a month ago, a working model is
being showed off as CES 2010.

This is cool, but I have kids that would never let this device stay still in the cabinet. I'll stick with the AppleTV Boxee installation for now

The front looks seriously cool, but alas look at the back, it looks like the crappy Sharp dual tape deck with high speed dubbing I had back in the late 80's. And the remote :-(
